Chocolate Smoothie Bowl

My new favorite snack, treat, breakfast, lunch, dinner….pretty much any time of the day…are smoothie bowls! Avon just came out with a protein powder called Espira! Once I saw it, I knew I had to try it.

Espira comes in chocolate and vanilla. Plant based, vegan, gluten free, NON-GMO, soy free, no preservatives, no artificial flavors or colors, and made with super foods!! You can’t really get any better than that. Plus it tastes absolutely amazing. If you would like to try it out you can order it here. Espira Plant Power Protein Powder

Here is description of it from the website:

Fuel up with 21 grams of natural plant protein† (from sprouted quinoa and amaranth, yellow peas and globe artichokes).
• Only 120 calories per serving
• Provides all the essential amino acids as whey protein†
• Fruit enzymes make it easy to digest
• Comes in great-tasting chocolate and vanilla, even better when mixed with almond milk
• Gluten-free
• Soy-free
• Dairy-free
• No peanuts

Now back to the recipe. I made this into a smoothie bowl because I really wanted to top it with even more delicious ingredients. I love the added textures the toppings give it. I listed below the toppings I used but feel free to mix it up a bit.

I added spinach to my smoothie for the extra green boost and you can’t even taste it. You could also add kale or any other kind of dark greens. You may also use peanut butter or cashew butter in the recipe if you like. Or if you have a peanut allergy just leave it all out! You can replace it with a squeeze of honey or a few drops of maple syrup….yummy.

I hope you try this recipe out and enjoy it as much as I did!! I may even have another smoothie bowl for dinner tonight…or dessert.
